As a part of the University’s new strategic plan, UVA President Scott Beardsley has announced renewed efforts to appoint a new permanent provost.

46-year-old Randall Fisher of Orange has been charged and is being held without bond after being detained by UVA Police early Thursday morning. The victim, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was released from the UVA Medical Center later that morning.
