In a letter back to the Albemarle School Board, Jim Hingeley defended statements made in court by a deputy and criticized Board Chair Dr. Rebecca Berlin for making a public debate over the remarks.

In a letter to Commonwealth’s Attorney Jim Hingeley, School Board Chair Dr. Rebecca Berlin requested Hingeley meet with the acting superintendent to clarify practices.

The training included Albemarle County Fire Rescue, Charlottesville-UVA-Albemarle County Emergency Communications Center, and Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad.

The new school is now fully refurbished and 6th graders joined the student body.

Dr. Kate Acuff said Lawton Tuft’s comment that he had reason to “question the trustworthiness” of the school division was “an unfortunate statement.”

The Vice Chair and at-large representative stepped away from the board on Thursday, and the division is already accepting applications for her seat.
