Police are asking for help identifying a suspect in a March 13 robbery in the 700 block of Cherry Avenue.

Albemarle Police have released a mainly encouraging annual report showing major crimes and fatal traffic crashes down in the county in 2024.

The Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) has issued updated information correcting earlier reports about Anthony D. Moreland, who left a secure probation program in Augusta County on March 12.

Virginia State Police say a driver fled on foot after crashing during a high-speed pursuit on Route 250 late Tuesday night in Albemarle County.
