CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) For the third day this week, the Charlottesville area is under a heat advisory. Wednesday’s advisory runs from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. for heat indices as high as 110. Accuweather meteorologist Jeff Nordeen expects the thermometer to reach 100 with Accuweather Real Feel 10-degrees more than that.

The National Weather Service heat advisory states hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
