Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville and Albemarle County are hosting the 2024 “Imagine a Day Without Water” art contest, inviting K-12 students to submit artwork on the theme “What’s the Drop in Your Bucket?” Emily Roach of Albemarle County Sewer Authority and Betsy Nemeth of Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority discussed the event on Cville Right Now Live, emphasizing the importance of water conservation and community involvement. This year, photography submissions are also accepted, expanding the creative opportunities for students.
“We want to see art that shows what you’re doing to conserve water,” said Nemeth, highlighting the creative aspect of the contest. Roach added, “The artwork that the students submit is absolutely incredible, and it grows every single year” The contest runs through October 28th, with submissions accepted online or in person.
