Republican Delegates Tom Garrett and Tim Griffin will attend the event, and Democratic Del. Amy Laufer said she plans to appear virtually.
The bill, named after former Kentucky swimmer and conservative activist Riley Gaines, allows for civil actions against institutions and athletic associations that “negligently or recklessly allow a biological male athlete to compete in female-only athletic competitions.”
