Amidst dozens of protesters, UVA’s Board of Visitors officially named the Darden School Dean as the University’s next President.

The Washington Post is reporting that Darden School of Business Dean Scott Beardsley will be the choice to succeed Jim Ryan.

Following nine months of negotiations, Albemarle County Public Schools and the Albemarle Education Association – the union representing teachers and other school staff – have reached a tentative deal for a collective bargaining agreement.

Law enforcement has reviewed a threatening mass email sent to schools across the Commonwealth and concluded it was a hoax, Albemarle County Public Schools informed families Thursday morning.
