The University of Virginia’s Faculty Senate called for the Board of Visitors to halt the search for next president and for the immediate resignation of Rector Rachel Sheridan and Vice Rector Porter Wilkinson during its Friday meeting.
The Governor-elect wants the search paused until she can fill five open seats on the BOV. Gov. Youngkin says she’s overreaching.
In a letter to the faculty senate, Jim Ryan said Rachel Sheridan – before becoming BOV rector – worked with the DOJ and the Governor’s office to force him to resign as UVA’s president.
