CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville Police responded to a report of a dead body found Thursday night near the intersection of Route 250 and Hydraulic Rd.

At 5 p.m., officers responded to an area near that intersection and the Meadowcreek Gardens and Disc Golf Course for a death investigation, according to CPD Chief Mike Kochis.

There was no other information provided about the deceased.

A CPD release Thursday warned of a heavy police presence in the area

Foul play is not suspected in the case, CPD spokesperson Kyle Ervin told Cville Right Now on Thursday night.

As of 6 a..m. Friday, Kochis told Cville Right Now they had not identified the body.

Correction: Initial reporting indicated two bodies had been found. There was a heavy police presence in two locations, investigating the same body.
