Hosted by Disco Risque and featuring Shagwuf, Dropping Julia, Hash, Lord Nelson, Uga Buga, Theocles, and more, this is exactly what local music is and what it can do. Definitely the event to support this week with all the stuff going on.

  • Sept 16: Mannequin Pussy @ Jefferson Theater
    After several years as indie darlings, Mannequin Pussy is finally getting its flowers. Lead singer Missy and the band are a force on stage, and the scene is set with a sold out show to wow Charlottesville as well as the rest of the world on this tour. Do whatever you have to do in order to secure your tickets.

    Toronto’s bedroom/hyperpop wunderkind MICO has been selling out venues across the country on his first tour, and this show was actually moved from The Southern to the Jefferson, if that gives you any indication of how fast he’s blowing up.
