CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – UVA Athletics has chosen a company to manufacture a brand new Scott Stadium video and audio system in time for next football season. Construction crews are dismantling the old HooVision above the Hill, and UVA has chosen a company called Daktronics to manufacture and install a new 6700 square-foot video and audio system. The new 54-by-125-foot display will feature 10-millimeter pixel spacing and light up more than 6-million pixels to deliver crisp, clear imagery.

And no more garbled — or in some parts of the stadium, inaudible — audio. A new point-source audio system at one end of the stadium wil provide a booming audio experience throughout all seats… and you’ll hear full-range sound reproduction and clear, intelligible speech.
