CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Center at Belvedere’s 65th anniversary celebration is Friday afternoon at 1:30 with what Executive Director Melanie Benjamin says will be live music with Jazz 123 who plays every week in their atrium. There will be special guests, “cool” announcements about the launch of new programs, and cake.

“Cake always gets you there, right?”, Benjamin says.

She says The Center was opened on a snowy February 14, 1960 as the Senior Center in one room at 3rd and Market Streets with 25 members.
