RICHMOND, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Virginia Lottery says no one matched all 6 numbers in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions $893-million drawing, but there’s a second lottery millionaire in Virginia this week. The Virginia Lottery says someone who purchased a ticket at Joe’s Quick Mart on Holland Road in Suffolk purchased a $1-million winner. That’s one of four million-dollar winners nationwide, the others purchased in California, Texas, and Florida. The Virginia Lottery says 66,548 winning tickets were sold in Virginia, ranging from $2 all the way to that million-dollars. The million-dollar tickets matched the first five numbers, but missed on the gold Mega Ball.
The winning numbers for the March 19 drawing were 24-46-49-62-66, and the Mega Ball number was 7. Winners have 180 days from the date of that drawing to claim their prizes. The clock continues to tick on a $1-million Powerball winner from Monday night sold at the CVS in downtown Blacksburg.
