RUCKERSVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A 33-year old resident of both Ruckersville and Madison County is in custody after downloading images involving juveniles described as sexual in nature. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in Madison County with assistance from that sheriff’s office last Friday and found 33-year old Steven K. Smith was not at his temporary place of residence. He was a short time later located in the town of Culpeper with assistance of the Culpeper Sheriff’s Office and arrested.

He’s held without bond in the Culpeper County Jail on charges of possession, reproduction, distribution, and facilitation of child pornography; as well as taking indecent liberties with a child in custodial or supervisory relationship. Additional charges are believed to be forthcoming.
