LOUISA, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Dawn Marie Morris, 51, of Louisa, was sentenced to 22 years in prison for her involvement in the sale of marijuana and psilocyn. Morris appeared before the Louisa Circuit Court on February 3, 2025.

Morris was convicted on charges related to her illegal drug dealings, including the sale of marijuana and psilocyn— a hallucinogenic compound classified as a Schedule I Controlled Substance. However, the court ruled that all but 15 months of her 22-year sentence would be suspended, meaning she will serve a significantly reduced prison term.

The case followed a search operation conducted in September 2023 by the Louisa County Narcotics Task Force, which resulted in the seizure of over $432,000 in assets, including marijuana, psilocyn, and nearly $100,000 in cash from Morris’ residence and business operations.
