LOUISA COUNTY, VA (CVILLERIGHTNOW) – A 34-year-old woman has been arrested following a shooting early Friday morning on West Chapel Drive in Louisa County.

Deputies with the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Chapel Drive at approximately 4:15 a.m., where they found a male landlord suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect, identified as Stephanie Wharam, is a tenant at the residence. She was arrested without incident and charged with multiple felonies, including malicious wounding, shooting inside an occupied dwelling, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Wharam is being held without bond at the Central Virginia Regional Jail.
