RICHMOND, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW/WTVR 6NEWS) – WTVR 6-News Crime Insider’s Jon Burkett is reporting a NICU nurse at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in suburban Richmond is charged with child abuse and malicious wounding. Burkett reports 26-year old Chesterfield County resident Erin Strotman was arrested Thursday and charged with one count each of child abuse and neglect and malicious wounding from a November incident. This follows a revelation from Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Taylor last month that she’s reopened a 2023 case of a baby who experienced a fracture in care at the Henrico Doctor’s NICU. Anyone who experienced similar incidents, or has information about incidents at that hospital’s NICU, is urged to contact Henrico County Police or Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers.
