CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville Police report four people shot in an incident occurring just after 12:30 Saturday morning in the 1100 block of River Road.

CPD said they began getting calls around 12:44 a.m. if shots fired, and an officer nearby at the time heard the shots and responded.

The four were found at the location around a-quarter mile east of Long Street, and an extensive crime scene was set up.

The investigation is continuing.
