CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville Police are investigating two shots-fired incidents within 3 hours of each other overnight. The 1000 block of 1st Street South near Jordan Park was shut down overnight as Charlottesville Police investigated shots fired. Officers were called to t1052 1st Street South around 1:40 Tuesday morning and found two vehicles struck and an occupied apartment shot into. No one was hurt, and multiple shell casings were recovered.
Around 10:35 Monday night, city police were called to the intersection of Booker Street and Charlton Avenue near Washington Park from someone who said they saw someone firing a gun in the street. No reports of property damage or injuries, but shell casings were recovered in the street.
