CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – UPDATING TO ADD HOLLY’S DINER SHOOTING: Charlottesville Police are investigating two Tuesday night shootings.  The first happened shortly before 9pm in front of 108 Lankford Avenue. Officers arrived to find a 23-year old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics performed life-saving measures, then transported him to UVA where he’s in serious, but stable, condition. The victim and suspect may have known each other.

Then just before 11:30pm, officers responded to Holly’s Diner at 1221 East Market Street for a shooting that just occurred. A 30-year old male suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to a leg and was transported to UVA. The initial investigation indicates a disordered had developed inside the restaurant, but the shooting occurred outside. The suspect and victim in this incident also are believed to have known each other.
