CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Just after midnight on June 29, police were called to the 700 block of 6th St SE for a report of a shooting.

No injuries or damage have been reported.

Police are on the scene collecting evidence.

6th St SE from Monticello Ave. to Blenheim Ave. is closed during the investigation.

Authorities advise the public to avoid the area until further notice.
