CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Interior work has begun on the new Charlottesville Middle School academic building, and current students and staff will be “leaving their mark” on the new school Thursday morning. They’re invited in the morning to sign a steal beam that will become part of the southwest corner of the new gym.

Neilsen Construction has completed installation of the structural steel in the first section of the four-story academic building and is now starting layingg out of interior walls and installation of mechanical and electrical pipework. The new four-story academic building is on track to open by the first day of the 2025-26 school year, when the school will begin to go by the name “Charlottesville Middle School.”
