ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA – On Thursday, April 14, 2023, the Albemarle County Police Department attempted to serve a warrant at a residence located on Cove Garden Road. While attempting the warrant service, officers observed evidence that led them to obtain a search warrant. Upon execution of the search warrant, the officers found two guns, 502 marijuana plants, 14 pounds of processed marijuana, and processing and packaging materials used for distribution.
On Saturday, April 15, 2023, officers returned to the residence on Cove Garden Road, locating Mrs. Julie Anne Moses, 39, of Charlottesville. Mrs. Moses was taken into custody without incident. The second subject, Mr. William Raymond Moses, 38, of Charlottesville, was located on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Mr. Moses was taken into custody without incident. Both subjects have been charged with the following felony counts:
- 2-248.1. Penalties for sale, gift, distribution, or possession with intent to sell, give or distribute marijuana
- 2-308.4. Possession of firearms while in possession of certain substances.
- 2-258.02. Maintaining a fortified drug house; penalty.
