CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Kevin Anderson, a suspect in an April 17 shooting on Old Preston Ave., was arrested Monday by Albemarle County Police Department.
The 34-year-old Anderson was wanted by Charlottesville Police on two counts of malicious wounding, two counts of a use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon following the 2 a.m. shooting.
ACPD has charged Anderson with one charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two charges of malicious wounding and two charges of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Officers responded to a call in the 100 block of Old Preston shortly before 2 a.m. on April 17.
They arrived and found an adult male who had been shot.
He was transported to UVA Health with a non-life-threatening injury.
As officers were with him at the hospital, an adult female drove herself to the same hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound as well.
