DILLWYN, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Because of a scheduling conflict at its usual site, the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank has to change Friday’s Dillwyn Mobile Food Pantry location. Usually at the Crystal Cathedral, the food bank has to move the July 11 event to Gene Dixon Memorial Park at 204 Cotton Alley Road. The pantry will operate on its regular 10-to-11:30 a.m. hours. The Food Bank’s Les Sinclair says this change could impact hundreds of individuals relying on this service for free groceries. Community members are encouraged to spread the word and plan accordingly.
