CROZET, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – VDOT is turning in its two-weeks notice for departure of a traffic route temporarily for construction of a new roundabout at the triple-intesection of Crozet Avenue, Rockfish Gap Turnpike, and Browns Gap Turnpike. Starting Wednesday, July 23, VDOT will enact separate detours for passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle traffic through December. Weather-permitting, crews will build the new single lane roundabout, and reconstruct the Route 680 bridge over Lickinghole Creek.
During this time, a segment of Route 680 just north of Crozet Avenue (Route 240) will be closed to through traffic. To reach points north of the closure, VDOT directs passenger vehicles to continue west on Crozet Avenue and then turn right on Old Three Notches Road (Route 802). Southbound traffic will follow this detour route in reverse.

Trucks and commercial traffic will follow a separate detour to reach points north by continuing west on Crozet Aveneu (Route 240) to Route 810 (Crozet Ave/White Hall Road), which carries traffic back to Route 680. Southbound commercial traffic will follow this detour route in reverse.
