STAUNTON, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – An emergency pothole repair will necessitate an overnight southbound I-81 lane closure through Staunton Wednesday night into Thursday morning. VDOT announces pothole repairs will begin near Exit 222 on the bridge over Augusta Woods Drive closing the southbound right lane beginning at 6 P.M. In addition, the on-ramp from Route 250 (Jefferson Highway) onto I-81 southbound at Exit 222 will close at 5 P.M. All I-81 and Route 250 lanes will reopen by 8 A.M.
