FLUVANNA COUNTY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Bremo Bluff man accused of threatening a family member and brandishing a firearm.

On Monday, June 23, 2025, at approximately 4:30 a.m., deputies were called to a residence in the 2000 block of Bremo Road for a report of an assault and battery. When deputies arrived, they located the victim and began searching for the suspect. Members of the Fluvanna County Emergency Services responded to provide aid to the victim while law enforcement personnel continued their search.

The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is asking that anyone with information on the suspect, Michael Wayne Morris, 42, to contact the sheriff’s 0ffice and provide any information they may have. The sheriff’s office does not believe there to be an ongoing threat to the public.

Morris is facing charges of assault on a family member, brandishing a firearm, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
