CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The name of the Downtown Mall Grand Illumination tree is… Spruce Lee. A name that has been unsucessful several times in the past got 59% of the final round votes as the city used ranked-choice voting in a polling for the tree’s name. With some 750 votes cast, Spruce Lee edged out Boots with the Fir. 40% chose Oatmeal the 3rd and Treelor Swift as their favorites.
