PALMYRA, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – UPDATE: Fluvanna County Schools are on a two-hour Wednesday delay in light of the Tuesday evening middle school threat. The 9am school board seminar in Lake Monticello’s Bunker Bistro is also cancelled.

The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office says presence is enhanced today, and they’ve identified two juveniles from outside the Commonwealth implicated in social media threats yesterday against Fluvanna Middle School. Although there is more police presence, the sheriff’s office says any threat no longer appears viable. The threats were made late evening Tuesday, and during a voice call between numerous students, two males joined making threats to “shoot” and/or “blow up” FCMS.

The investigation continues in order to identify all specific crimes committed, locate any evidence available, and make decisions on further intervention.. and anyone with information is urged to call the sheriff’s office at 434-589-8211.
