Albemarle Police have charged a Charlottesville man already incarcerated on different charges unrelated to the Peyton Drive Incident.

There were no injuries reported, and police and fire crews were at the scene at 525 McCormick Rd. UVA urged people to avoid the area.

Property crimes were down in two areas – with burglaries dropping from 29 to 14 and larcenies from 573 to 529. But stolen motor vehicles jumped from 22 to 49.
