The University of Virginia Volleyball team (21-10, 11-9 ACC) has earned a spot in the 2024 National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) and will host first and second-round matches at Memorial Gymnasium on December 7-8.

Heading into Saturday night’s 8pm kickoff at Virginia Tech, Virginia Head Football Coach Tony Elliott says “this is rivalry week”, and that’s what matters.

The NCAA has announced its latest Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data for student-athletes, covering the 2014-15 to 2017-18 freshman cohorts. The University of Virginia (UVA) achieved a 96 percent GSR, matching its highest rate ever for the second consecutive year.  UVA is ahead of the national GSR average of 91 percent. 

Albemarle County Commonwealth’s Attorney Jim Hingeley cannot comment, but confirms UVA football players’ murder suspect Chistopher Jones has pleaded guilty to murder.
