Charlottesville Police are investigating shots fired Sunday night in the 600 block of 7th St NW.

A burst of strong winds is expected to move through Central Virginia this afternoon, with the National Weather Service warning of isolated gusts reaching 40 to 50 miles per hour.

The National Weather Service has issued Tornado Watch for Augusta County, Rockingham County, and surrounding areas in western and northwestern Virginia. The watch is in effect from 12:53 p.m. through 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16.
