In an exclusive interview, Albemarle County Board of Supervisors member and 5th District candidate Mike Pruitt said, “I’m in this fight and I’m going to stay in this fight.”

Sen. Mark Warner announced Tuesday that he will seek re-election to the U.S. Congress. Warner, Virginia’s senior senator, has held his seat since 2009.

The Attorney General’s race was the tightest of the three statewide contests atop the ballot, with Jay Jones defeating incumbent AG Jason Miyares by 227,097 votes.

It is unclear if Earle-Sears intends to remain in politics going forward, but in her letter, she encouraged her supporters to continue their work and indicated she would do the same.
