A back-to-school Wednesday morning in Albemarle County… the last area school system to start classes.

Now Buford, and soon to be Charlottesville Middle School, will have a new mascot. Principal Rodney Jordan revealed in a 7th grade Town Hall the new mascot and nickname “Young Knights”, along with new school colors of orange-and-black.

 The Virginia Department of Education has issued the new school cellphone policy guidelines in response to Governor Youngkin’s Executive Order 33. 

For the second year in a row, Albemarle County Public Schools is offering local businesses a platform to inspire the future workforce by showcasing their trades to eager ninth-grade students.
