University of Virginia president Jim Ryan has informed the school’s Board of Visitors he will resign, the New York Times reported Friday, bending to pressure from the Trump Administration.

Unsurprisingly, reaction to news that the Trump administration is attempting to pressure University of Virginia president Jim Ryan to resign split along party lines.

The New York Times reports the Justice Department is calling on UVA President Jim Ryan to resign for failing to disband DEI on the university level.
