Governor Glenn Youngkin has removed U. Bertram “Bert” Ellis, Jr. from the University of Virginia Board of Visitors, according to a letter released Wednesday pursuant to subsection D of Virginia Code § 23.1-1300.

 The James Madison University Board of Visitors Wednesday morning affirmed the appointment of current University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Chancellor Dr. James C. Schmidt as the Harrisonburg university’s 7th President.
