AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 7 AM Sunday to 1 AM Monday for Augusta and Rockingham Counties. Snow, sleet, and freezing rain are expected Sunday morning into the afternoon, with up to one inch of snow and sleet and around one-tenth of an inch of ice accumulation. Higher elevations could experience freezing rain or drizzle into Sunday night. Drivers are advised to expect slippery road conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses. Power outages are also a possibility due to the combination of snow and ice.
