Winston. H. Thomas, Age 72, departed this life on February 28, 2024. He was the son of the late James Lee Thomas and Mary Lee Wells.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Abdulla Jabar Armeen, AKA Junie, Thomas and Wali Zakee, AKA (Leon C Thomas); and three sisters, Doris T Williams, Dolores T Waller and Diane T Fry. He was a graduate of Burley High School and retired from the Rivanna Solid Waste Authority. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was an avid fan and enjoyed attending the Redskins football games with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Andre Thomas of Esmont, VA and Matthew Beard of Washington, D.C.; two daughters, Phyllis Thomas of Esmont, VA and La Toya Ragland of Charlottesville, VA; two brothers, James Thomas and Steve Thomas of Charlottesville; one sister, Daphne R. Fortune; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 8, 2024, at J. F. Bell Funeral Home Chapel, interment followed at Riverview Cemetery, Charlottesville, VA. Arrangements by J. F.
