CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – While milder weather than we’ve seen recently will dominate your Tuesday, watch for wind in the higher elevations. The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory through noon Tuesday along the Blue Ridge for west winds sustained at 20-to-30 with gusts up to 50. That’s enough to blow around loose debris, and cause power outages. Skyline Drive was fully reopened Monday afternoon, and this will affect travel up there as well as the Blue Ridge Parkway and impact Afton and Wintergreen.
