Shizuoka, Japan (CVILLE RIGHT NOW):  After a second-round performance that included six birdies, UVA fourth-year star Amanda Sambach remained in first place after the first two rounds of the Pan-Pacific UGSL Golf Tournament in Shizuoka, Japan.   

She shot 6 under 66 in the second round, for a total score of 11 under 133 at the end of the day.  A good team performance also allowed UVA to keep first place in the standings as Day One wrapped up.   

The Hoos shot 3 over 291 throughout the first two rounds, good enough to hold the lead at 577 over Tokyo International University and Tohuku Fukushi University in second and third respectively.   

The final round begins this evening.
