  • Sept 27: Ramona & the Holy Smokes @ The Southern Café & Music Hall
    It’s been a long time coming, but the much-anticipated eponymous debut album from Ramona & the Holy Smokes has finally arrived. It’s an instant honky tonk classic that sounds like you pulled it out of a dusty bin from a forgotten corner of your favorite record shop. They’ll be joined by Kai Crowe-Getty and Olivia Ellen Lloyd.

  • Sept 25: Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory @ Jefferson Theater
    This show is presented by 106.1 The Corner. Indie darling Sharon Van Etten has collaborated with so many talented artists from around the industry, but she’s really found her people with The Attachment Theory, who are central to her seventh studio album which came out on legendary label Jagjagwar earlier this year.

    A spacy, psychedelic rocking indie band, The Backseat Lovers hit The Jeff for two nights this week, so you have very few excuses to mix this exciting new act.

    Friend of The Corner, Will Overman, is playing some tunes and discussing his new album, Stranger, out September 26th. “Landlocked Heart” is a personal fave.
  • Sept 27: TOTAL DESTRUCTION @ Book Club
    Charlottesville’s newest most abrasive country punk outfit, TOTAL DESTRUCTION, will debut at Book Club this weekend alongside Trash Cats and Self-Driving. DM Book Club for the address.
