It’s been a long time coming. Thee Sacred Souls soul’d out their Jefferson Theater show their last time through town, but their October show was postponed due to the knock-on effects of Hurricane Helene and their tour schedule. Much hype greets the band on their return to Cville (fueled in great part to our excitement and repeated plays on The Corner), and this is slated to be one of the hottest shows of the season.

The Beautiful Idea is a trans-owned antifascist bookstore on Main Street and now that it is hosting punky shows, it’s become one of the hottest new spots in the city. Teens In Trouble and Bat Boy are bringing a fun alt-garage energy to this venue, and the booker’s taste is absolutely to be trusted.

- May 24: 100 Proof @ The Southern – Go Go music in Charlottesville! Not only is 100 Proof fun and high-energy, but it’s bringing a regional style of club music to the city, which is important for ethnomusicological reasons.
- May 25: – Anamara @ IX Art Park — Annabeth is bringing her ethereal art folk pop to IX once again, and for those looking for a performance that transcends the typical club show, this is one to see. Definitely a different type of vibe for those on the fringes of traditional mainstream music.
