Wayne Elvin Samuel, 63, of Charlottesville, Virginia, passed away on March 20, 2024 at UVA Medical Center after a lengthy illness, with his family by his side.

Born on October 31, 1960 to the late John and Daisy Samuel, he is survived by his wife Karen Thacker Samuel and daughter Allison Marie Samuel. He is also survived by his sisters Patricia (Larry) Dudley, Viola Samuel (Junior), Brenda Ochoa, and Terri Kincaid. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews and his furry friend Remi.

Wayne was a diehard fan of the Washington Redskins, and loved drag racing, where he spent a lot of time at the race track with his great-nephew Devin.

The family would like to extend appreciation and gratitude to all the doctors and nurses who helped with Wayne’s care during this difficult time.

A memorial service will be held at Hill and Wood Funeral Home in Charlottesville at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024.
