CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Service has been restored after a water main break along Route 29 near the North Fork Rivanna River dropped water pressure in the area and prompted the Albemarle County Service Authority to issue a boil water advisory Wednesday morning.
The advisory will remain in place until at least Friday afternoon, an ASCA spokesperson told Cville Right Now.
Customers in that region are advised to boil any tap water used for drinking or cooking, or substitute bottled water until the advisory is lifted.
The Albemarle County Service Authority is also asking the customers in this area to limit their use of water until further notice.
Residents in the North Pointe Development reported being completely without water Wednesday morning, while others in the impacted area said water pressure was low.
“The North Pointe is within the boil water advisory area, and our teams are working to isolate the break and begin repairs,” an ACSA spokesperson told Cville Right Now.
