CHARLOTTESVILLE (CVILLE RIGHT NOW/THE WASHINGTON POST) – The Washington Post is claiming two sources familiar with the situation reporting Governor Youngkin is calling on Atlanta UVA Board of Visitors member Bert Ellis to resign. Ellis, a 1975 economics and 1979 MBA grad from Darden, was one of the first persons the Governor appointed to the Board in 2022 shortly after election. His term expires June 2026. The Post reports the Governor is concerned “the member’s outspoken and sometimes combative manner could undermine efforts to reshape the state’s flagship university”. The report says Ellis has refused to resign.
