CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Tahim R. Mayo, a 32-year-old Charlottesville man wanted on drug and weapon charges, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by the Albemarle County Police Department, the department announced.
Working in conjunction with the 3A Narcotics Task Force, ACPD served a warrant in the area of 1600 5th St. Extended at approximately 2:35 p.m.
Mayo was wanted on outstanding charges of using or selling fentanyl for a terror act, possessing a firearm with Schedule I/II narcotics, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, tow counts of possessing a firearm by a non-violent felon, and three counts of possession of a Schedule I/II narcotic with intent to distribute.
Additionally, when he was taken into custody, Mayo was in possession of a firearm and “a substantial distribution amount of narcotics.”
He is being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail without bond.
