Indianapolis, IN (cvillerightnow.com): Virginia Swimmers have already earned four US titles after one day of competition at the Toyota National Championships in Indianapolis.   Yesterday, three women and won man took home big wins for UVA.  

One of five Hoos in the A-Final of the 200 breaststroke, alumna Kate Douglass won it with a 2:21.45.  

In the 200m Backstroke, Claire Curzan won as the 7 seed in the final with a 2:05.09.  

Representing the Men’s team, Jack Aikens flew through the pool in 1:54.25 to win the 200 back.  That mark is the quickest in the world in 2025 so far.  

Finally, former star fourth year and now alumna Gretchen Walsh broke her own American record to win the 50m butterfly final in a 24.66.

A chance to compete at the 2025 World University Games in Berlin held beginning July 17th, is in play for the winners.   

The National Championships will be running until Sunday; there will likely be more wins for the Hoos in the coming days.
