Virginia Women’s Basketball redshirt freshman guard Kamryn Kitchen entered the transfer portal Tuesday, departing the program after one season in Charlottesville. Kitchen enrolled early at the University of Virginia and redshirted during the 2024–2025 campaign. She underwent a procedure on her foot during her redshirt year, sidelining her from training and practice during the latter portion of the season.

According to On3’s Talia Goodman, Kitchen entered the transfer portal with a “do not contact” designation, meaning the Charlotte native already has a destination in mind.

Kitchen shared the following in a post on X yesterday:

“I want to express my gratitude and love for The University of Virginia for this past year. I have loved being a part of this team here and I’ve made countless memories here in Charlottesville. I’m excited for this new chapter in my career. Thank you UVA, it’s nothing but love!”

Six members of last year’s Virginia Women’s Basketball team have entered the transfer portal. Head Coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton has already added four transfers: Adeang Ring (UCF), Romi Levy (USF), Caitlin Weimar (NC State), and Sa’Myah Smith (LSU).
