CONWAY, S.C. -(CVILLE RIGHT NOW)- The Virginia Football team produced one of its most impressive victories in the Tony Elliott era, defeating Coastal Carolina on the road 43-24. Virginia started fast capitalizing on Coastal fumbling the opening kickoff and scoring on their first offensive possession. The Wahoos would put up 27 first half points leading 27-10 at halftime. They continued the momentum scoring another three points on the opening drive of the second half and never looked back finishing off the Chanticlears 43-24. Virginia was impressive offensively with 500 total yards and 374 yards rushing, led by sophomore running back Xavier Brown who had 171 yards on 9 carries and back up quarterback Grady Brosterhouse scored two rushing touchdowns and Malachi Fields caught two touchdowns from quarterback Anthony Colandrea. The Hoos are now 3-1 and head into a bye week before returning to Scott Stadium on October 5th to face conference rival Boston College.
